T minus 24 hours

I leave Denver in less than 24 hours. My flight to Yanji will be in three parts: First I fly to San Francisco, then to Beijing (13-hour flight), then on to Yanji.

Some people have been confused, thinking I was going to NK. For the record, I'm not going to NK. I will be near the border but I won't be leaving China.

All said, the travel time will be around 24 hours. One of the staff members will pick me up from the airport Monday night (10:05pm local time) when I arrive. She warned me that the Chinese government is checking "underarm, under clothes temperatures" right now, so just be ready for it. I told her I will watch out for strip-searchers!
